After his success in franchises like Bad Boys and Transformers, Bay has gone on to create the likes of Pain & Gain (2013) and 6 Underground (2019). His latest project, Ambulance, marks Bay's first directorial effort release since the pandemic began in 2020. Ambulance comes to local cinemas today, three weeks before North America where it is scheduled to release on April 8.

So for the new GDH supernatural horror Ghost Lab to be the first Thai feature film to have its world premiere on Netflix is quite an appropriate choice.
Half-baked superhero comedy

» It's not difficult to tell the difference between good and bad comedy movies. A good comedy is simply a film that makes us laugh, and those that fail to do that are easily forgotten. When I first heard that the latest Netflix original Thunder Force was written and directed by Melissa McCarthy's husband, Ben Falcone, who has also directed movies like Tammy (2014), The Boss (2016), Life Of The Party (2018) and Superintelligence (2020), I was bracing for the worst. Although Thunder Force may be a step up from Falcone's previous films as it attempts to bring a new story to the table -- the superhero angle in this case -- everything else is straight from the script, from execution to the jokes which all missed the mark.
The Dig needs to go deeper

» If you studied archaeology or enjoyed stories about discovering long lost artefacts and unearthing secrets that have been hidden under the ground, then the new British period drama The Dig might actually be worth your time. The Dig is based on the 2007 novel of the same name by John Preston, and is the second directorial effort by Australian filmmaker Simon Stone. The film reimagines the events of how an archaeologist embarks on the historically significant excavation of Sutton Hoo in the late 1930s, the grave of an Anglo-Saxon king. While at distance, the film may look beautiful and features a parade of well-known performers such as Carey Mulligan, Ralph Fiennes and Lily James, the film somewhat suffers from the lack of focus and good execution.

So when the fire broke on April 15 and destroyed the spire and most parts of the roof of the 850-year-old church, not only was the building structure devastated but so was the spirit of people the world over who grieved over the near destruction of an important church in the heart of Paris.
