Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 21/03/2025

» I am always intrigued when filmmakers attempt to blend two polar opposite genres -- such as horror and comedy -- just to see how it turns out. These films can either be a surprising hit or an awkward miss. In the case of The Parenting, the latest comedy-horror offering from MAX, I'd say it unfortunately leans closer to the miss side. While it has a decent premise and some entertaining moments, the overall execution falls flat, making it feel more like a missed opportunity than a memorable film.

» War is definitely hell, but Sam Mendes and his new feature film 1917 are having a heavenly wonderful time rising to the top at the moment. This latest tale on World War I won best picture at the Golden Globes and has become one of the front-runners for Oscar season next month. Despite its somewhat simple plot, the success of the film definitely wasn't a fluke, and can't be ignored.

LIFE

The story on the wall

Life, Tatat Bunnag, Published on 12/04/2019

» Despite the fact that the whole story of the Thai classic literature Ramakien and its characters Phra Ram, the Monkey King Hanuman or the 10-faced demon Tossakan have been depicted as mural paintings along the surrounding walls at the Temple of the Emerald Buddha since ancient days, not everyone today could claim to know the entire story or remember every character in the epic, derived from the Indian epic Ramayana.
