A hidden talent

» An old leather album with 143 black-and-white photographs by MC Subhasvasti Svasti, known as Tan Chin, was found in a tin box amid many other heirlooms in his grandson's home. Renowned photographer Manit Sriwanichpoom was surprised by the album's discovery, which has both artistic and historical value.

» Once upon a time, the Shadow Witch stole the faces of three people -- a boy with a mask, a hollow Tin Princess and a man trapped in a box. To find their faces, the trio embarked on a journey in a camper van together. They went through adventures and challenges and eventually learned that the Shadow Witch wanted their courage to seek happiness, not their faces.

» The Office of Art and Culture (OAC) at Chulalongkorn University is currently showcasing a rare collection of 24 deity paintings which are approximately 196 years old. The paintings at the exhibition "Tom Tong Mien: An Exhibition Of The Yao Ceremonial Painting" were created by Chen Guei Li, a painter during the reign of Emperor Dao Guang of the Qing Dynasty, and offer a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of the Yao/Iu Mien people.

» Human consumption of plastics has long been labelled a major cause of today's environmental problems. To raise awareness about this issue and focus on its real cause, Warin Lab Contemporary is hosting its inaugural art installation titled "Swamped" by four multidisciplinary artists -- Thanawat Maneenawa (assemblage), Ploenchan Vinyaratn (textiles), Taweesak Molsawat (sculpture and performance) and Note Panayanggool (sound) -- on display at the 100-year-old building on Charoen Krung 36.
