» Written and illustrated by Masashi Kishimoto, the Japanese manga Naruto has been popular since it was first published in Weekly Shonen Jump in September 1999. The manga follows the story of orphan boy Naruto Uzumaki who overcomes deadly battles with rivals and confronts his past to become Hokage (chief) of Konoha no Sato (Hidden Leaf Village).

» As a traveller and photographer, Kamthorn Paowattanasuk enjoys visiting temples. While most people like to take photos at famous spots or with well-known sculptures, Kamthorn is interested in temple structures repaired using substitute materials. For example, what used to be a sermon hall made from wood was replaced with cement because wood is too expensive. In another temple, wooden handrails in an ordination hall and the temple gates were replaced with alloy.

» Located in Japan's Chiba Prefecture, Sawara is a beautiful small town, only 70km away from the capital Tokyo. The town is renowned for its historical architecture from the Edo Period (1603–1868) and two traditional festivals -- the Sawara Hina Festival and Sawara Grand festival. Recently, scenic views of the town in photographs on facebook.com/wonder.sawara -- created to promote the town of Sawara among Thai tourists -- caught the eye of watercolourist Chatchai Thammaphirome, aka AnimaToey, and inspired him to paint.
