» Last month, when six Vietnamese people were found dead at a luxury hotel in Bangkok, the news spread internationally. An autopsy conducted by Chulalongkorn Hospital reported that cyanide was the cause of death for all six victims. The tragic incident brought up memories of the case of Am Cyanide in 2023 and renewed awareness of the dangers of cyanide. Am is currently charged with the murder of 14 people by using cyanide and attempted murder of one victim who survived.

» According to the Ministry of Public Health, the number of obese children in Thailand has increased as of February this year. Around 13% of children aged between six and 14 fall victim to obesity while an estimated 13% of adolescents aged 15 to 18 suffer from the disease. » To raise awareness and encourage manufacturers to reduce salt and sodium in food products, the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (Thai Health) organised a forum titled "Reducing Salt/Sodium Consumption In Thailand" at the Thai Health office. At the forum, Dr Chantana Ungchusak, chairman of the board of healthy food planning, said that excessive salt intake can cause high blood pressure, heart conditions, reduce kidney functions and clog blood vessels, which can lead to death.
