» Awareness of environmental issues has driven the trend of producing environmentally-friendly products. Following in this light, Thailand Inventors' Day 2025, which was organised by the National Research Council of Thailand and held from Feb 2-6, showcased eco-friendly products made to save the environment. » Late last month, Bangkok was ranked as the fourth most polluted city in the world, according to IQAir. The air quality index (AQI) in Bangkok reached 188 and PM2.5 was as high as 108 µg/m³, indicating unhealthy air quality.

» When Ratchakorn Klakerd, a curator at the Office of Art & Culture, visited Chulalongkorn University Museum of Natural History at the Faculty of Science, she was impressed with the museum's extensive butterfly collection. The diversity of butterflies on display inspired Ratchakorn to organise an exhibition.

» Ae* was a healthy 80-year-old woman who played tennis two or three times a week, but when a physical examination showed a lump in her lung, she refused further medical examinations. Instead, she met Dr Nuttapon Kanprugse, the head of the Palliative Care Team at Camillian Hospital in Bangkok. Dr Nuttapon, who is also a family physician, told her that if the results of further tests showed the lump to be cancerous, she could possibly be cured because the tumour was small. However, Ae said as she was already 80, she preferred to live the rest of her life naturally rather than undergo surgery, radiation therapy or chemotherapy.
