» On Feb 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation to attack Iran and kill the supreme leader Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated with attacks targeting Israeli military bases as well as US military bases in the Middle East. Following US-Israeli strikes on Iran, on March 27 the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz which is a key oil transit route.

» Piriya Vachajitpan, the founder of Museum Pier, has been interested in dinosaur fossils and prehistoric animals since he was a high school student in the US. Piriya saved money from his part-time job as a dishwasher in the school cafeteria to travel to view dinosaur exhibitions and fairs in many American cities. It was an eye-opening experience which encouraged him to collect fossils.

» The Office of Art and Culture (OAC) at Chulalongkorn University is currently showcasing a rare collection of 24 deity paintings which are approximately 196 years old. The paintings at the exhibition "Tom Tong Mien: An Exhibition Of The Yao Ceremonial Painting" were created by Chen Guei Li, a painter during the reign of Emperor Dao Guang of the Qing Dynasty, and offer a glimpse of the rich cultural heritage of the Yao/Iu Mien people.

The artist was uncomfortable being locked up in his house every summer and the PM 2.5 pollution was getting worse. Chiang Mai used to be renowned for its spectacular landscape, but last March, Chiang Mai became known as the most polluted city in the world, according to IQ AirVisual.

Two art exhibitions, "The Macro Movements Of Material I And II", present the concepts of four artists who use different materials rather than fundamental tools -- pencils, brushes, colours and canvases -- to convey their own concepts. While "The Macro Movements Of Material I" was displayed online for Art Central Hong Kong last year, the second edition is currently on show at Rosewood Bangkok Hotel.
