» Piriya Vachajitpan, the founder of Museum Pier, has been interested in dinosaur fossils and prehistoric animals since he was a high school student in the US. Piriya saved money from his part-time job as a dishwasher in the school cafeteria to travel to view dinosaur exhibitions and fairs in many American cities. It was an eye-opening experience which encouraged him to collect fossils.

» In 2022, Imhathai Suwatthanasilp created the exhibition "Plankton Star Virus" for the Biennale of Sydney, which ran under the theme "rivus" and means stream in Latin. Trapped during the Covid-19 lockdowns, Imhathai was unable to conduct field research, so she gathered information online and watched videos and documentaries.

» Last year, Marisa Srijunpleang, an artist from Surin, created the art exhibition "T360174" which showed how the Khmer Rouge genocide directly and indirectly affected her family. Recently, Marisa created the photo exhibition "Blooms With The Wind Blows", a continuation of her previous work.

» When construction of the MRT forced a branch of Kope Hya Tai Kee, a Chinese restaurant in Pan Fah, to shut down, one of the owners asked Thapanut Kaewpan and Supassara Netbamrungrat, founders of Blue Bangkok, to create 3D refrigerator magnets of the restaurant as a keepsake for customers.

» Pavida Kritasaran has suffered from itchy rashes for 15 years. Due to the rashes, she had to take steroids for years. Her unusual condition triggered an interest in macrobiotic foods and later organic food. Although she was careful with her diet, she still had rashes.

» In 2019, young artist Pratchaya Charernsook became aware of microplastic pollution after news reports of researchers at the Marine National Park Operation Centre finding an average of 78 pieces of microplastics in the stomach of every mackerel they collected from Hat Chao Mai National Park.

» When Pratchaya Uthayanin was a third-year student at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University, his father was diagnosed with cancer. Pratchaya was in and out of the hospital with his father who went through chemotherapy and other treatments for two years until he passed away. That experience inspired him to create a thesis titled "Signification And Representative Of Death".

» In 2014, Romtham Khumnurak -- a student at the Faculty of Liberal Arts, Thammasat University (TU) -- enrolled in TU 100 Civic Engagement, which required students to observe TU's waste management system. After Romtham saw a large stinky garbage pile there, it dawned on him that everyone is involved in the waste issue. Five years later, Romtham and five other colleagues established an environmental online media, Environman, which currently has more than 564,000 followers and is available on several platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and YouTube.
