» In 2024, artist Kan Nathiwutthikun, better known as Kan Nathi, experienced living among smoke from wildfires since her house was located near Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai. After the wildfires were extinguished, Kan asked her assistant to go with her to collect ashes and burnt wood to create artwork. Some of those artworks are now on display at the exhibition "Blueprint of the Apocalypse" at VS Gallery.

» Four years ago, illustrator Naruemon Yimchavee, better known as Banana Blah Blah, felt so burnt out from work she decided to take a break. She travelled to several provinces in the North including Phrae, Nan and Lampang. After staying in Lampang for five days, the peaceful atmosphere comforted her and she decided to live there.

When he became a lifestyle editor of a magazine, he became frustrated due to personal and work issues. To reduce pressure, he tried meditation and to do so properly, Kornpat sought advice from monks who led him to take an interest in amulets and Buddhism.

Deadly consequences

» Last month, when six Vietnamese people were found dead at a luxury hotel in Bangkok, the news spread internationally. An autopsy conducted by Chulalongkorn Hospital reported that cyanide was the cause of death for all six victims. The tragic incident brought up memories of the case of Am Cyanide in 2023 and renewed awareness of the dangers of cyanide. Am is currently charged with the murder of 14 people by using cyanide and attempted murder of one victim who survived.

» Blackchin tilapia was imported from Ghana in 2010 by CP Foods (CPF) with a permit for research in Samut Songkhram. CPF claimed that it terminated its research in January 2011 and had sent sample blackchin tilapias in bottles of formalin to the Department of Fisheries.
