» While many artists seek inspiration outside their home, Wannaprapa Tungkasmith, better known as Collagecanto, discovered that home is one of the best places to find her muse. Wannaprapa is famous for her intricate papercutting artwork. Her solo exhibition "I Am Home" was inspired during the Covid-19 lockdown when many people were forced to stay indoors. That period ignited Wannaprapa to create this introspective exhibition.

» When seeing someone cry, most people feel concerned and sad. However, seeing the art toy Crybaby, which takes the form of an adorable crying girl, can make you smile. The exhibition "Everybody/Cries/Sometimes" by Nisa "Molly" Srikumdee, draws large crowds even on weekdays due to Crybaby's popularity. It has international fans from many countries including China, Hong Kong, Taiwan and Singapore. Despite speaking different languages, international and local viewers enjoy taking photos with Crybaby in its various designs.

» When Thai animator Arut Tantasirin was young, he helped an injured sparrow and took care of it until it was able to fend for itself. Due to that experience, Arut felt a connection to birds which inspired him to create Cheez…z, an award-winning short animation as his thesis for his master's in animation at the Academy of Art University in the US.

» A little girl looks at an ambulance which comes to take her mother to the hospital. Sadly, the mother, who has Covid-19, does not return home. During her time of sadness, the little girl has a doll, which her mother gave her, to keep her company. As time goes by, the girl gradually gets over her loss, but she feels that her mother is always a part of her life.

» People always connect with nature but after they invent new creations, they become connected to their own creations as well. Two art exhibitions, "The Macro Movements Of Material I And II", present the concepts of four artists who use different materials rather than fundamental tools -- pencils, brushes, colours and canvases -- to convey their own concepts. While "The Macro Movements Of Material I" was displayed online for Art Central Hong Kong last year, the second edition is currently on show at Rosewood Bangkok Hotel. Life spoke to two of the four artists -- Weerapong Sansomporn and Thanathorn Suppakijjumnong -- about their works.

To break this stereotype and change people's attitudes and opinions about Muslims, artist Nurayatee Khaeyiwa has unveiled her first solo exhibition titled "Muslima", which is on display at the Bangkok Art & Culture Centre (BACC).
