» On Feb 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation to attack Iran and kill the supreme leader Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated with attacks targeting Israeli military bases as well as US military bases in the Middle East. Following US-Israeli strikes on Iran, on March 27 the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz which is a key oil transit route.

» To celebrate their 19th anniversary, Super Junior released the dance single Show Time and held their Asia tour "2024 Super Junior " in eight countries -- South Korea, Thailand, Singapore, Vietnam, Malaysia, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Indonesia. The eight members who participated in the tour are Leeteuk, Yesung, Shindong, Eunhyuk, Donghae, Siwon, Ryeowook and Kyuhyun.

» Plastic pollution has a negative effect on the environment, ecosystems, wildlife and human health. To reduce this scourge, 175 nations agreed to develop a legally binding agreement to address such pollution within the marine environment, known as the Global Plastic Treaty, during the 5th United Nations Environment Assembly in Nairobi, Kenya. A draft of the treaty is expected to be completed by the end of this year.

The bad conditions had a negative effect on the health of workers, so when Schle took over his family business, he decided to build a new green factory, Pasaya, manufacturing home textile products.

» During the Covid-19 lockdown last year, ceramicist Sukanjana Kanjanabatr calmed herself by making circular clay shapes following the temporary closure of her studio. Thousands of the thin and circular pieces later were developed into 13 porcelain artworks that are on display at the ceramics exhibition, "A Practice Of Slowing Down", at Offbeat Box.
