» During the Covid-19 lockdown, Jarupatcha Achavasmit, a lecturer at the School of Architecture, Art, and Design at King Mongkut Institute of Technology Ladkrabang, spent her time in Hua Hin. While walking along the beaches, she noticed that the waves were washing up trash. She assumed that it was the way the sea returned unwanted items to humans. She felt sorry for the sea and decided to help it by turning the trash it spat back at humans into art pieces.

» It is a rare and remarkable achievement for artists to exhibit at the Venice Biennale, one of the most prestigious art exhibitions in the world. This year, Thai artist Channatip Chanvipava showcases his solo exhibition “Sound Of Many Waters” featuring eight new paintings that presents the idea of fixed identities, belonging and subjective memory. The exhibition takes place at a 17th century Venetian dimora, open to the public for the first time.

» Created by Rush Pleansuk, the mythology of the goddess Mekhala being chased by the thunder deity Ramasura is depicted through nang yai, or a grand shadow play, at the art exhibition "Ramasura". Rush is best known as the winner of the 2019 Designer of the Year award from the Department of International Trade Promotion, Ministry of Commerce. He is also a co-founder of the design company Sumphat Gallery, and the architecture company Sumphat Space. The artist confessed that although he works on design for a living, his true passion is art.

» To celebrate 190 years of US-Thai diplomatic relations, the art exhibition "Rivers Of Life" has been organised by the US embassy, ICONSIAM and the Chiang Khong community of Chiang Rai. On view at ICONSIAM, the exhibition features two videos -- I See That You Don't See created by Montika Kam-On, a young Thai moving image artist, and A Tale Of Two Rivers created by Alexis Karl, a US filmmaker and perfume artist. Both aim to raise awareness about environmental issues related to the two rivers -- the Mekong and the Mississippi.

» Since Phetchaburi and Songkhla have an abundance of sugar palm trees, people recognise these two provinces for their palm sugar products. When local ingredient expert Anusorn Tipayanon and community architect Jantrarat Jantaratippalukit visited Pattani, they were surprised to see the palm sugar production process there. After trying wak or krachae (liquor made from palm sugar) in Panare, Anusorn came up with the idea to create the exhibition "Soul/Sweet" which depicts products made from palm sugar.

» On view now at GalileOasis, "Tea Times: Tea Rhymes" displays over 300 tea bowls made by ceramist Panchalie Sathirasas. The various styles and sizes of the bowls were inspired by those used during a Japanese tea ceremony.

» When Pratchaya Uthayanin was a third-year student at the Faculty of Painting, Sculpture and Graphic Arts at Silpakorn University, his father was diagnosed with cancer. Pratchaya was in and out of the hospital with his father who went through chemotherapy and other treatments for two years until he passed away. That experience inspired him to create a thesis titled "Signification And Representative Of Death".
