» Organised by the King Rama IX Music Library and the Princess Sirindhorn Music Library, under the Fine Arts Department of Thailand, the exhibition "Record Discs In Siam" takes visitors back to the times when shellac and vinyl records were still popular. At the exhibition, visitors will see wax cylinders -- the recording medium that preceded vinyl records -- cassette tapes and compact discs. Other items include rare shellac record discs, vinyl discs and vintage record players.

» People in the Thai photography industry were excited when the photography community HOP – Hub Of Photography, was established at Seacon Square in the Srinakarin area. Located on the third floor, HOP features two photo galleries -- HOP Photo Gallery and Whoop! as well as the HOP club, a library area for photo books and the sale of merchandise. HOP is run by three established photographers -- Sirima Chaipreechawit, Theerachat Potisit and Marisa Rungroj.

» In order to offer a creative space for people in Phayao, the "Phayao Arts & Creative Festival" was launched in early August and will run until Oct 3. A collaboration of the Creative Economy Agency, Pye Space Contemporary and Phayao New Generation Creator Network, the festival is hosting programmes throughout the province. But the festival's main area, "Ar(t)cade", is located on the second floor of the old market in Phayao. It features art exhibitions, alternative movie screenings, and family and learning activities.
