» On Feb 28, the United States and Israel launched a joint military operation to attack Iran and kill the supreme leader Ali Khamenei. Iran retaliated with attacks targeting Israeli military bases as well as US military bases in the Middle East. Following US-Israeli strikes on Iran, on March 27 the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) officially announced the closure of the Strait of Hormuz which is a key oil transit route.

» In 2024, artist Kan Nathiwutthikun, better known as Kan Nathi, experienced living among smoke from wildfires since her house was located near Doi Inthanon in Chiang Mai. After the wildfires were extinguished, Kan asked her assistant to go with her to collect ashes and burnt wood to create artwork. Some of those artworks are now on display at the exhibition "Blueprint of the Apocalypse" at VS Gallery.

» In the 90s, the art exhibition "Contemporary Art In Asia: Traditions/Tensions", curated by guest curator, Apinan Poshyananda, displayed artworks created by many artists from Asia, including Thailand, the Philippines, South Korea, Indonesia and India. » Drawn by the beauty of underwater nature, many people have been enjoying the Thailand Aquascaping Art Fair. Organised by MMAD MunMun Art Destination, the TAAF as it is known has been taking place for the past three years and offers a cash prize of over 100,000 baht. The competition is divided into two categories -- aquascapes decorated with contestants' own materials; and those created with materials in a blind box provided by the organiser.

» An old leather album with 143 black-and-white photographs by MC Subhasvasti Svasti, known as Tan Chin, was found in a tin box amid many other heirlooms in his grandson's home. Renowned photographer Manit Sriwanichpoom was surprised by the album's discovery, which has both artistic and historical value.
