» Every January, crowds pack the main square in San Sebastian, Spain where the stroke of midnight marks the start of La Tamborrada, a 24-hour spectacle of quirky costumes and mass synchronised drumming. This cacophonous orgy of public percussion involves teeming troupes of drummers dressed as cooks and soldiers marching throughout the city, culminating the following midnight at the historic Konstituzio Plaza.
