The Toffees' new home at Bramley-Moore Dock on the banks of the River Mersey is called the Hill Dickinson Stadium after the international law firm that holds the naming rights.

The clubs outdid themselves with a record 45 goals being scored in the 10 games over the weekend. This beats the 44 on two weekends in 2020 and 2023.

The League One match between Reading and visiting Port Vale was abandoned after 16 minutes when an estimated 1,000 fans ran onto the pitch to protest against Royals' owner Dai Yongge, a Chinese businessman.
