It's not that difficult for this type of movie to quickly attract the attention of the audience, because hardly anyone would say no to the beautiful, yummy looking dishes in films. But at the same time, it will be easily criticised by both movie and foodie snobs. Despite being currently among the most watched movies on Netflix, the hit drama-thriller Hunger has also divided audiences and critics.

» The Oscars is coming up soon. And while it should be an exciting time for any film lover, I can't help but feel a bit let down by this year's nominations, especially for the Best Picture category. I didn't particularly like the flashy biopic Elvis and I personally thought Everything Everywhere All At Once was way, way overrated. And I have no clue how Top Gun: Maverick managed to get nominated for best movie of the year. So I had kind of lost interest in this year's awards -- until I recently had a chance to watch another nominee, The Fabelmans, the latest film by Steven Spielberg. Suddenly my interest returned.

She was a Japanese artist who broke through the pop charts, which at the time were mainly dominated by Western artists like Britney Spears, Mariah Carey, TLC and Boyzone. Her tunes like Automatic, Movin' On Without You and the pop ballad First Love made a huge impact on teens everywhere, including Thailand.

In this film, Forrest Gump (1994), Cast Away (2000) and The Polar Express (2004) director Robert Zemeckis is reunited with Tom Hanks, who retells the tale of a wooden puppet who embarks on a thrilling adventure to become a real boy. Despite the high-budget production, and the director's attempt to bring an old-fashioned story with a modern voice, Pinocchio feels somewhat lifeless and in the middle of the mediocre pack.

» A 14-year-old girl is tricked into prostitution in Mumbai in the late 1950s. The matter soon reaches the ears of Gangubai (Alia Bhatt), the mafia queen of Mumbai, who helps solve the problem. Reflecting on her own painful memories soon after meeting the young girl, Gangubai realises her purpose in life and decides to write her own destiny -- to fight and protect 4,000 other women trapped in the world's oldest profession.
