Thailand Leads GMS Tourism Collaboration

» Thailand plays a leading role in GMS regional tourism, inviting executives from the National Tourism Promotion Agency and entrepreneurs from over 15 agencies to cooperate in pushing the target number of foreign tourists to the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) to exceed 95 million people by 2025. Senior tourism officials and executives from Cambodia, Lao PDR, and Myanmar will be special guests of the Tourism Authority of Thailand and the Ministry of Tourism and Sports at the Thailand Travel Mart Plus (TTM+) from 5-7 June in Khao Lak, Phang-nga Province. On 5 June 2024, two days before the official opening of TTM+, they will tour Phuket, visiting Ban Bang Rong Community, Phuket Old Town Community, and various facilities promoting Sports and Health Tourism, Gastronomy Tourism, Marine Tourism, and other recreational tourism products.

PAT Celebrates 73rd Anniversary, Announces Growth

First Thailand Road Safety Forum Launches at AIT

"Monitoring Laem Chabang Port Phase 3 Development Progress"

» A delegation from the Port Authority of Thailand (PAT), led by Thawisak Anakkhaphan, Advisor to Manaporn Charoensri, Minister of Transport and Head of the Laem Chabang Port Phase 3 Development Monitoring team, recently conducted an inspection to assess the progress of Laem Chabang Port Phase 3. The site survey was accompanied by Kriengkrai Chaisiriwongsuk, Director of the Port Authority of Thailand, and Acting Second Lieutenant Ratthakorn Khieophaisan, Executive 16 under the directive of the Port Director, who also participated in a press conference to update the media on the ongoing developments at Laem Chabang Port, Chon Buri. The aim was to instil confidence among investors and stakeholders.

Energy and Shipbuilding Expo Returns to Bangkok

» Thailand Marine & Offshore Expo (TMOX) 2023, Oil & Gas Thailand (OGET) 2023, and Powerex Asia 2023, the top three annual trade shows for the energy and shipbuilding industries, are set to take place again from October 18 to 20, 2023, at the Bangkok International Trade and Exhibition Centre (BITEC), Bangna. Organised by Firework Media (Thailand) Co., Ltd, the event has received support from both the government and private sectors, including the Ministry of Energy, the Electricity Generating Authority of Thailand (EGAT), the Thailand Convention and Exhibition Bureau (TCEB), and the Thai Shipbuilding and Repairing Association. The event will run from 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM at Hall 101, BITEC Bangna.

RTRDA and Huawei Sign MOU to Drive Human Resources Development

» On July 5, 2023, at the headquarters of Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd., Mr. Chayathan Phromsorn, the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Transport, presided over the signing ceremony of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) for strategic cooperation. The MoU aims to promote human resources development and ICT technology transfer for the rail transportation system in Thailand. The Rail Technology Research and Development Agency (Public Organisation) and Huawei Technologies (Thailand) Co., Ltd. are the signatories of this agreement.
