» The 29-year-old Nawapol “Ter” Thamrongrattanarit is a man of many talents. He wrote the screenplay for Thai cinema hits such as Bangkok Traffi c Love Story and The Billionaire. He’s a columnist for a day, Hamburger and the Thai edition of Harper’s Bazaar. His debut feature 36 won awards at both local and international fi lm festivals. His second feature Mary Is Happy, Mary Is Happy tells the story of a high-school girl named Mary and her friend, and stars Patcha Poonpiriya and Chonnikan Netjui. It includes casual profanities, a shotgun, knife-wielding and cameo appearances by Krissada Sukosol Clapp and Prabda Yoon. If these aren’t enticing enough, you should know that the one-of-a-kind movie is based on a girl’s tweets - 410 of them to be exact. The movie will be shown at House RCA, Lido, Esplanade Ratchada, Major Cineplex Chiang Mai and EGV Khon Kaen on Nov 28.
