» Apple has just announced its 4th quarter results. These should be available in several online sources by now. Income will come from hardware such as iPhones and Macs, and services. Some sales figures, such as the Apple Watch, will all be included in an "Other" section.

» When Steve Jobs was CEO of Apple he was often right, but there were times when he was wrong. At the 2007 introduction of the iPhone, he was dismissive of the stylus used with many phones. He also later dismissed the idea of a smaller tablet computer, although this may have been to put some off the scent. Jobs said that the finger was the best pointing device for touch-screen input.

» Last weekend, the latest iPhones were put on sale in a few select countries. By all accounts there were record sales of the two devices, with the iPhone outselling the iPhone Plus on the first weekend. I have no information as to when these devices may appear on these shores. One of the first to buy an iPhone, in Perth, Australia, made himself instantly famous by dropping the phone in front of TV cameras as he unboxed it.
