Published on 08/05/2013

The cops stopped three motorbikes driven by youths who had equally young girls riding as pillion passengers. Police accused the youngsters of attempting to snatch jewelry from tourists, but found no incriminating evidence.  One of the suspects, 16-year-old Nhoi, said it was just a lark and they weren’t doing anything too serious. He claimed he had reached out from his motorbike to greet a friend–not to snatch anything from a stranger. Nevertheless, police confiscated three motorbikes and allowed the teenagers to go without charge.
