Thailand makes a statement at MC12 Meeting

» Thailand’s Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce made a statement at the World Trade Organisation (WTO)’s 12th Ministerial Conference (MC12) in which he referred to previous meeting outcomes of the APEC Ministers Responsible for Trade. These outcomes, he said, support WTO functioning in order to cope with Covid19, push forward a fishery subsidy conclusion, develop agricultural food security, and reform WTO works. Thailand reiterated the call for a renewal of electronic commerce tax exemption to be promoted at the next MC12 meeting.

» Thailand Institute of Justice (TIJ) is now accepting applications from emerging leaders interested in joining its Rule of Law & Development Programme, or RoLD 2020: The Resilient Leader, with an aim to enhance knowledge related to the rule of law and sustainable development in pursuit of Goal 16 of the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs), as well as forging a strong collaborative network among professionals for setting the rule of law standards in Thailand and beyond.
