» Siravitch "Jai Sira" Kamonworawut is best known for his meticulous impersonation of Madonna, as well as other celebrities and movie characters. Jai, who graduated with a master's degree in Arts Administration from Central Queensland University, has performed professionally as a drag queen in Thailand and Australia. He also runs an online imported wig shop (fb.com/Sirawigs, www.sirawigs.com), has a YouTube channel for make-up tutorials, and has fitted wigs and done make-up for Thai celebrities.

» With 24 years of experience in the entertainment industry, Attaphon Na Bangxang works as TrueVisions’ chief programme and content officer and acts as True Corporation’s group director for content and programming. He has played instrumental roles in securing a licence to produce True Academy Fantasia, the Thai version of Mexican musical talent show La Academia, and broadcasting rights to major soccer leagues, movies, documentaries and other entertainment programmes. Attaphon also decides what programmes will be broadcast on TrueVisions. The cast of the new season of True Academy Fantasia will be announced on Jun 2, and will be broadcast on TrueVisions, from Jun 28-Sep 19.

» Dancing with the Stars, the Thai version of British TV series Strictly Come Dancing, premiered earlier this month while Dance Your Fat Off, a reality TV show in which 12 big-boned contestants will shed their weight through dancing for a chance to win big prizes, will hit Thai TV on Feb 2. The auditions for the third season of Thailand's Got Talent is about to take place nationwide early next month. It seems this year we're going to be seeing a good dose of dancing on the airwaves.

» With the current barrage of talent shows on television, we guestimate that every Thai person will have their 15 minutes of fame by the end of 2013. However, most of the "talent" we have seen is either debatable (painting with bare breasts), as original as eating green curry with kanom jeen (covering the same ol' songs) or kinda disturbing (children belching out love songs). To flesh out the real capabilities of this fine nation, we have sought out individuals with unique and special abilities for your entertainment. And for our own amusement, we decided to appoint ourselves as the judge for our very own "Thailand's Got Weird Talent" show. Here are the finalists.
