» 1.Come show your virtual football chops this Saturday at Game Over Lounge's Fifa 18 Tournament. One of the most popular video games played in Thailand, with decades-old versions from the PS2 years, the game is still being played in arcades everywhere. Fifa 18 is the latest version of the game to be released on PS4, Xbox One and PCs. To register for a spot to play, you can either call the organisers on 02-170-7684, or shoot them an inbox message through the Game Over Lounge Facebook page. Registrations cost 200 baht, with the winner taking home a 2,000 baht gift voucher, as well as a "special surprise".

» 1 Earlier this month marked the 100th birthday of Puey Ungphakorn, the famous Thai bureaucrat and Magsaysay Award winner recognised for his contributions to Thailand’s economic development, as well as his role in Thailand’s “Free Thai” movement during World War II. In memory of this great man, A Day publishing recently released A Man Called Puey, a book covering the life and times of the man himself, with stories meant to demonstrate the altruism, kindness and integrity of the man dubbed the “Founding Father of Modern Thailand”.
