» It was pouring like crazy. I was lucky to find refuge in a noodle shop before getting soaked. It had rained twice since the morning. So far, including the days when I was on Koh Phayam, I never got a chance to shoot -- or even see -- a clear blue sky.

» To me, Bang Saray, a short drive southward from the more touristy Pattaya and Jomtien, has always been synonymous with great seafood. There are quite a few famous restaurants there, especially near the fishing piers. Recently, however, I've gotten to learn first-hand that Bang Saray has a lot more to offer than that, thanks to expat friends. They've even helped me experience nirvana.

» Built over 150 years ago during the reign of King Rama IV, Charoen Krung was Bangkok's first Western-style road. Nicknamed New Road back then and many decades afterwards, Charoen Krung starts from the east side of Wat Pho next to the Grand Palace, initially running eastward before beginning to gradually shift south as it crosses the Rob Krung canal into the northern part of China Town.
