Born in Phrae to a middle-class farming family, she was diagnosed with polio at the age of five. A barrage of hurtful taunts from neighbours during her childhood didn't get in the way of her determination to make something of her life. The 35-year-old rose to the occasion, becoming a national archer a decade ago, at the invitation of Saisunee Jana, a physically challenged fencer in the Thai national team.
