» ประชาชนใช้บันไดเลื่อน บริเวณสถานี BTS สยาม โดยสำนักงานมาตรฐานผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรม เตรียมควบคุมมาตรฐานบันไดเลื่อน-ทางเลื่อน ต.ค. 68 รับแผ่นดินไหว ตามที่ประชุมคณะรัฐมนตรี (ครม.) ได้มีมติเห็นชอบร่างกฎกระทรวงกำหนดให้ผลิตภัณฑ์อุตสาหกรรมบันไดเลื่อนและทางเลื่อนอัตโนมัติ ต้องเป็นไปตามมาตรฐาน พ.ศ. ... โดยจะมีผลใช้บังคับเมื่อพ้นกำหนด 90 วันนับแต่วันประกาศในราชกิจจานุเบกษา ทั้งนี้ สมอ. จะเร่งประกาศให้บันไดเลื่อน-ทางเลื่อนอัตโนมัติ เป็นสินค้าควบคุม เนื่องจากมีความเกี่ยวข้องกับความปลอดภัยของประชาชนที่ต้องใช้บริการในสถานที่สาธารณะต่างๆ เช่น ห้างสรรพสินค้า สนามบิน สถานีรถไฟฟ้า รถไฟใต้ดิน และอาคารสำนักงาน โดยมาตรฐานฉบับดังงกล่าวเป็นมาตรฐานด้านความปลอดภัยและระบบไฟฟ้า ที่อ้างอิงมาตรฐานระหว่างประเทศ (ISO) ที่มีความปลอดภัยสูง เป็นที่ยอมรับของสากล และทั่วโลกได้นำไปใช้ มีข้อกำหนดด้านความปลอดภัยเมื่อเกิดแผ่นดินไหว ซึ่งจะมีระบบตรวจจับแผ่นดินไหวหรือเซ็นเซอร์ซึ่งจะเชื่อมต่อกับระบบไฟฟ้าของบันไดเลื่อนหรือทางเลื่อนอัตโนมัติ เมื่อเกิดแผ่นดินไหวระบบจะหยุดทำงานทันที มีระบบการยึดติดบันไดเลื่อนและทางเลื่อนอัตโนมัติในแนวดิ่งเพื่อไม่ให้เคลื่อนหลุดออกจากฐานPublished caption : Commuters use escalators at BTS Siam Station.
