» The recently opened 22 Kitchen & Bar is located on — yes, you guessed it — the 22nd floor of the Dusit Thani Bangkok hotel. While its name is unimaginative, the food on offer is anything but. Situated in the space previously occupied by French restaurant D'Sens, it has been revamped and given a new culinary direction. You probably made an "eh" face when you came across the phrase "Pacific Coastal" in the information box above. It's a term the restaurant coined for a cuisine with a foundation in South American fare and influences from various countries such as Japan and Peru. Looks-wise, the restaurant walks a fine line between the refined and relaxed. Tables for two are strategically positioned around the bar, allowing couples to fully enjoy the silent show of the busy city below, through outwardly slanted windows. Plush turquoise couches are also set in such a way that diners can take in the twinkling view. Three circular booths accommodate four to 10 diners, and can be curtained off for privacy. A private room for 16 is also available, in case you're planning a grand get-together. Regulars include couples, hotel guests and the office crowd.
