SCGC and AboitizPower Partner for Philippines’ First Smart Power Plant

» Aboitiz Power Corporation (AboitizPower), one of the major power producers in the Philippines, has partnered with REPCO NEX, a subsidiary of SCG Chemicals (SCGC), a provider of integrated industrial and digital solutions, to sign a collaboration agreement for the Arkanghel Project. This project aims to develop the first smart power plant in the Philippines, enhancing power production stability through Digital Twin technology. This initiative aligns with the megatrend of increasing energy demand in ASEAN, helping to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and mitigate the impacts of climate change.

» Government Savings Bank, led by Paphakorn Ratanasate, Senior Executive Vice President, stated, “Government Savings Bank has adhered to our commitment as a Social Bank, proceeding with sustainable operations covering environment, society, and governance aspects through Green Finance. For the first time, the banking business has engaged an organisation's ESG Score as part of the credit loan approval process. Large-sized business customers are our preliminary group for GSB to enable credit approval alongside special interest rate reduction conditions for organisations accredited with a good ESG score by operating businesses focused on society, community, and environment.”

Anutin Pushes for Phuket Water Pipeline Project

» The Ministry of Interior, led by Deputy Prime Minister Anutin Charnvirakul, along with Deputy Minister Chada Thaised and Pornpoth Penpas, Director General of the Provincial Waterworks Authority (PWA), conducted a site survey to monitor drought resolution efforts at the PWA Phuket Branch. The PWA was instructed to expedite the water pipeline project in Phuket to ensure water security for consumption in the tourist towns on the Andaman coast, focusing on the Bang Niao Dam Reservoir. Additionally, a low-pressure raw water pumping plant at Klong Je Ta, Sri Sunthon Subdistrict, Thalang District, Phuket Province, was built on 9 May 2024.

“ARS Mos Shooter" Launched in Thailand

» Earth (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Kentaro Sato, President, and Kao Industrial (Thailand) Co., Ltd., led by Mr. Yuji Shimizu, President, held a press conference on the launch of "ARS Mos Shooter", an innovative mosquito eradication spray. This product, developed collaboratively by Earth and Kao, marks its debut in Thailand. The press conference was presided over by Mr. Takuro Tasaka, Minister of the Embassy of Japan in Thailand; Dr. Chantana Padungthod, Director of the Vector-Borne Diseases Division, Department of Disease Control; Assistant Professor Dr. Panida Srisan, Chairperson of the Chalermphrakiat Building Fund Administration, The Children's Hospital Foundation; along with Ms. Lydia Saranrach and her family, who also participated in a special talk on 'How to Protect Your Family from Dengue Fever.' The event took place at the Promotion Hall, Samyan Mitrtown Shopping Center, Bangkok.

The company is primarily engaged in distributing catalyst chemicals and process equipment used in oil refineries and petrochemical plants. The company is led by Mr. Sittichai Talapnak as Chief Executive Officer, Ms. Nadkrita Kulsirithanakorn as Executive Vice President of Communications, Mr. Ekapong Ekalap as Vice President of Project Management, and Ms. Sasiwimol Prasatthong as Vice President of Recycling & Waste Treatment. They recently participated in a signing ceremony for a joint venture capital agreement with Mr. Shen Xian Hua, General Manager of Hualong Limited, Mr. Su Yang, Director of Symo Development Limited, and Mr. Shen Hanyu, Director of H.Y. Resources Technology (HK) Limited, on 9 April 2024. The purpose of the agreement is to establish Thailand's first base metal production plant from spent catalysts.

Khok Sa-at School in Bueng Kan Province was selected, thanks to Mr. Natthawut Petcharachai from the Safety and Quality Department. The school received funding from Mitsubishi Elevator (Thailand) Co., Ltd. to construct a new building, designed by students from INDA, the International Programme in Design and Architecture at Chulalongkorn University.

Bua Cement Launches Solar Farm in Saraburi Sandbox
