» Nestlé (Thai) Ltd. is moving forward with the use of green electricity from renewable sources at its six factories in Thailand. This initiative is a collaboration with the Metropolitan Electricity Authority (MEA) and the Provincial Electricity Authority (PEA) under the Utility Green Tariff 1 (UGT1) program, which provides renewable power from unspecified sources. The collaboration aligns with Nestlé’s goal of using 100% renewable electricity in its factories in Thailand by the end of this year. It is also part of the company’s Net Zero 2050 roadmap, which aims to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. Through this initiative, Nestlé is demonstrating its commitment to providing high-quality, tasty, and more nutritious products made with electricity from sustainable sources for Thai people at all life stages.
