» The choral music community in Thailand has been steadily growing over the past few decades. Besides concerts performed by different chorus groups, including those of university students and privately-funded groups, other activities such as workshops, seminars, competitions and conferences have been held to improve the skills and enthusiasm of the Thai choral society.

» A man dressed in white blew into a conch as if it were a horn. Joss sticks were burning. Heads bowed but people's lips were praying. A screenplay on a golden tray was engulfed in a cloud of white smoke. Surrounding the tray was a feast which included a pig's head, Thai golden desserts, fruit, boiled eggs and seafood.

» Chinese virtuoso cellist Jian Wang, along with respected Dutch conductor Hubert Soudant and the Bangkok Symphony Orchestra Foundation, closed out its seventh "Great Artists Concert Series" with another extremely fine sounding performance on Dec 7 at the Thailand Cultural Centre.
