A young English programmer came up with the idea of integrating an NFC chip into a ring, giving the wearer constant access to NFC. He launched his project on Kickstarter, the crowd-funding platform, and has already brought in the equivalent of over US$160,000, while also getting coverage in a host of tech blogs and publications.
