Looking forward to WWDC in June

» To read some of the press in the last few days, one would think that Apple is about to go bust. Again. Display rumours were exciting; a new iPhone shape was expected. Now Nikkei claims that the iPhone 7 will not have enough that is new, so Apple will die or something. That caused another drop in Apple shares, which may be the point: what goes down, will go up; then look at all the profits.

Aperture 3 (1): A Dubious First Day

» Aperture 3, a long-awaited update, was released in early February with over 200 additional features. Aperture 2 had begun to creak and this worsened after the Snow Leopard update last year: a 32-bit application for professional photographers on a 64-bit operating system. As soon as the online store for Thailand was back online, I ordered my update, which arrived at my office on Monday morning. The update was 3,690 baht instead of 7,290 baht for the full version. After lunch, I opened the box.
