» Chinese New Year celebrations in Thailand will be different this year. With a new surge in Covid-19 cases coupled with the year-long pandemic, many festive events have been cancelled to curb the spread of the virus. Therefore, it is no surprise that the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration decided to cancel the Lunar New Year celebration in Chinatown this year.
