» Re: "A sad, vicious cycle," (Life, July 12). I read this article a few times and it is so true not only in Thailand but in almost every country. I don't see any people who enter politics really working for the good of their country and their people. Most of them work hard for their own benefit and for their own families and close friends only. It is really a sad, vicious cycle.

» How are all industries being affected by this Covid crisis and yet international schools remain untouched (save a few) by pricing? In fact, the top-tier schools have increased their fees, a tone-deaf move in this pandemic for potentially cash-strapped parents to both pay and teach their children while paying full prices for a so-called education.

These visitors will not return to Thailand until the 14-day quarantine in force upon arrivals is removed. This quarantine period cannot be safely removed until a large proportion of the Thai population is vaccinated.
