» Anyone can be a giver regardless of age, social status or ability. On March 22 and 23, visit Suan Kru Angoon in Thong Lor to be a part of Hai Doei Chapor (Give Especially), a project organised by the Thai Health Promotion and Klongdinsor, a company that develops communication tools for the blind. The project aims to create a space for volunteer work for all, focusing especially on the underprivileged to change their role from that of a receiver to giver, too. It's about those in different communities passing on happiness to one another endlessly.

» One by one, colourful Lego bricks are stacked on top of one another under the meticulous hands of builders. When it was first started, like jigsaw pieces, many had a hard time telling what the work would end up looking like. But as the shades of blue, yellow and more blended, we began to see how the bricks slowly morphed into a portrait of King Bhumibol Adulyadej.

» After a few wrong turns on a dusty dirt road and quick rides across shallow creeks, our songthaew full of volunteers from Jungle Aid -- a private charity that provides a medical clinic and community development assistance to people living in remote areas of Thailand -- came to a stop at Pa La U Noi Village. Situated two hours away from downtown Hua Hin in Prachuap Khiri Khan province, the village is sprawled amid the hills, with bamboo houses, children running in tattered clothes, young mothers and stray animals completing the scene.
