With Thailand on a path to becoming the highest-aged society in Asean -- the percentage of elderly among the total population is estimated to rise to 20% in 2020-21 -- there has been increased public and private interest in developing programmes to help senior citizens get out of the house, socialise and become as independent as possible, exercising their physical, emotional and physical well-being in the process.
