» 1. Missed last year’s "The Doraemon Exhibition Tokyo 2017"? No need for tears, as basics giant Uniqlo is bringing one of the designs that was showcased during the exhibition into their stores. Twenty-eight leading Japanese artists were invited to create artworks featuring Doraemon, and Uniqlo is bringing the work of one of the most popular and recognised artists to your closet. Everybody’s favourite robot cat gets floral treatment like you’ve never seen before by everybody’s favourite flowery artist Takashi Murakami. A total of 15 tees will be featuring Doraemon with a splash of Murakami flowers in all colours of the rainbow. There will be a plush toy in the same Murakami style too, but for the traditionalists, check out the line of tees using graphics from the original comics. A taste of Japan is combined with Dean & Deluca's signature flair, while drinks are inspired by sakura flowers. Five dishes that will fill you up and set you back no more than 455 baht each include Cold Somen Noodle Salad with Tiger Prawn, Gyukatsu Burger, Mentaiko Smoked Salmon Tagliolini, Butadon with Onsen Egg and Chicken Tsukune Donburi. Wash it down with pink-hued matcha drinks such as an Iced Sakura Cream Cheese Matcha Latte or Sakura Cream Cheese Matcha Milkshake. Then again, if you are inclined towards the precious and pricey types of writing instruments, you probably already have Montblanc's head of client relations and high artistry on your contact list. But for those who are just starting out with collecting and happened to miss his visit to Bangkok last month, fret not, because we also didn't get to see the €1.5 million (57.8 million baht) pen we had hoped to see in real life at a private suite at the Okura Prestige either.
