» We boarded a long-tail boat in Chanthaburi’s Khlung district and headed for Ban Len Tak along the Welu River, passing long stretches of mangrove trees with foliage so dense it was impossible to see beyond the riverbank. It took us about half-an-hour to reach this tiny fishing village which is not accessible by road and whose residents still manage to get by without mains electricity or tap water.
