» As Covid-19 continues to wreak havoc around the globe with more than 5.5 million cases and about 350,000 deaths so far, the race to find a vaccine has never been more pressing. Globally, different institutions and companies are working hard to develop a vaccine, with over 120 candidates currently in development. While most are still in the pre-clinical stage, a few have already progressed into clinical trials.

Japan's plastic man

» Hiroshi Fuji turned a piece of toy in his hand from side to side. His eyes gleamed with childlike curiosity as he inspected the colourful plastic that will be incorporated into his upcoming exhibition Jurassic Plastic at ChangChui Creative Park. Fuji's creation of vibrant dinosaur sculptures made from plastic toys have made appearances in different countries and will soon come to Bangkok at the end of this month. The exhibition is organised by the Japan Foundation Bangkok and Chang Chui, with the support from the Embassy of Japan and the Japanese Association in Thailand.

» At the Osaka Castle Park, Arjaree Kiatfuengfoo broke into a light jog to warm herself up for the 42.195km run she was undertaking on a recent Sunday. The big crowd was cheering in the cool morning. The sky was slightly overcast, with colourful leaves and trees lining the city streets. To Arjaree, it was a great day for a marathon.
