» Pridi Banomyong Institute has always been an art venue of the smaller voices _ a refuge of sorts for the young, struggling artists, especially the politically minded ones. » Sunon Wachirawarakarn and Thanapol Virulhakul aren't new to Bangkok's small and scattered dance scene. Sunon is a disciple of Janaprakal Chaundruang and Pichet Klunchun, while Thanapol has danced for Patravadi Theatre and co-choreographed a few dance pieces in Bangkok. With their new creations staged in mid- and late-March, the two young artists have officially stepped out of whatever shadow those giants may have cast over them and can now command their own spotlight.
