» If you're a true foodie, you'll know Sukhumvit Soi 39 is, figuratively speaking, very savoury, with many eateries dotted along its intricate sub sois and alleys. Try Google Maps to see what we mean. Tucked away deep in the soi, Cocotte Farm Roast & Winery shares the same address with several notable restaurants inside the 39 Boulevard Building. This new kid on the block operates on noble principles, claiming that it prepares dishes using ingredients from organic farms and food artisans as much as possible.

» Bangkok is home to several cafes themed after cute characters and Moomin Café Bangkok is the latest addition. This new eatery aims to steal our hearts away with adorable eats and a cute atmosphere. Opened in mid-April, the cafe is styled after the whimsical world of the Moomins, a famous and beloved cartoon family by Finnish illustrator and writer Tove Jansson.

Bangkok songkran agendas

» OMB! We have five days off in a row because the cabinet kindly declared that this year's "official" Songkran break starts from today until Tuesday. Say what you will about PM Poo, but she is so right in giving us a long holiday since we can't function properly during this kind of heat anyway. Anyhoo, that's over 7,000 minutes we're supposed to wisely spend relaxing before going back to the grind on Wednesday. And even though some shops and places in Bangkok may be shut during the Thai New Year, there are plenty more options for celebrating. Here's what we suggest you do and, hopefully, you may also find a deeper meaning of Songkran Festival (besides throwing water at strangers) along the way. Happy splashing, everyone.
