Guru, Pornchai Sereemongkonpol, Published on 01/12/2017

» We first interviewed Thai-German Michael Biedassek for his role as the co-founder of bangkokvanguards, a unique travel agent which explores undiscovered paths in Bangkok. Michael is also involved in raising awareness on preserving local communities and organising the "Santa Cause" (http://fb.com/SantaCauseBangkok) event every year to provide gifts and necessities for less privileged children and their families. We wondered what he had been up to lately and what the upcoming Santa Cause would entail.

» The newly opened Ma:D Hub for Social Entrepreneurs (42/3 Ekamai Soi 4, 085-917-7795, 085-136-3188, fb.com/madeehub) isn’t just another co-working space in Bangkok but one with many social missions. Preekamol “Gift” Chantaranijakorn, 26, one of Ma:D’s co-founders, talks to us about the facility and how it is changing society for the better by bringing together social entrepreneurs and socially conscious people. Before running Ma:D full time, Gift, who graduated with a bachelor’s degree in economics from Thammasat University, worked at Changefusion where she was first introduced to the concept of social enterprise and later ran projects for Thai Social Enterprise Offer. Check out Ma:D’s Facebook page for their activities.
