Next Generation Energy Seminar Drives Sustainable Future

» 'Next Generation Energy', a seminar on energy and sustainability, gathered experts from the flat glass and energy industries. MMI Asia, a subsidiary of Messe München, the world's leading conference and exhibition organiser from Germany, also organises the Glasstech and Fenestration Asia exhibition, expanding the theme of energy and sustainability. MMI Asia hosted the 'Next Generation Energy' seminar on 15th August 2024 at The Botanical House, Rama 9 Road, Bangkok. The seminar covered topics such as Thailand’s journey towards sustainability, fostering green businesses, and the role of the flat glass and façade industries in creating a sustainable future.  Keynote speeches were delivered by Dr. Adis Israngkura na Ayudhya, Advisor to the Thailand Development Research Institute (TDRI), and Mr. Watcharin Boonyarit, Director of the Solar Energy Development Division at the Ministry of Energy. The panel discussion featured Dr. Chakkrit Luangcharoenrat, Studio Director of Gensler (Thailand) Co., Ltd.; Mr. Annop Kulwongwanich, Managing Director of B.Grimm Trading Corporation Co., Ltd.; and Mr. Panya Tantisuwichwong, Vice President of the Thai Glass Manufacturers Industry Club, The Federation of Thai Industries, who discussed the glass and façade industry's impact on environmental sustainability.

MEA Marks 66th Anniversary with Sustainable Energy Theme

» Wilas Chaloeysat, Governor of the MEA (Metropolitan Electricity Authority), stated, “On the auspicious occasion of the MEA’s 66th anniversary on 1 August 2024, MEA hosted the '66th Year: To be Sustainable Energy Utility' event to promote decarbonisation.” Under the eco-friendly theme, the venue was decorated with waste-free materials, and there was an exhibition zone featuring “good soil and unspoiled water to a happy life with sustainability.” The event also supported fundraising, donating 328,700 baht to the Seub Nakhasathien Foundation and 378,800 baht to the Foundation of the Welfare of the Cripple under the Royal Patronage of HRH the Princess. Participants also contributed by purchasing products from the Mae Fah Luang Foundation.

Huawei Announces AI Integration Plan for Enhanced Networks

» Speaking at a keynote of the MWC Shanghai 2024 for the 5G-A & AI Roundtable on 28 June, the Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer of Huawei Wireless Solution, Eric Zhao, unveiled a plan to bring AI to networks. The plan focuses on building an ecosystem of RAN Intelligent Agents in collaboration with operators to increase network productivity. Its first phase aims to cover 1,000 site engineers and 10,000 sites across Hangzhou, Guangzhou, Bangkok, Jinan, and Shenzhen within six months.
