» บรรยากาศการเรียนการสอนในโครงการ Open Education โดยดูการเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ผ่านแพลตฟอร์ม ด้วยครูต่างชาติ โดย กทม. จับมือ Globish พัฒนาความสามารถและทักษะการสื่อสารภาษาอังกฤษ นักเรียนในสังกัดณ โรงเรียนพหลโยธิน เขตดอนเมือง การเรียนการสอนภาษาอังกฤษ ผ่านแพลตฟอร์ม ตามโครงการ Open Education ว่า การศึกษามีหลายนวัตกรรมและไม่ใช่เรื่องใหม่ หลายๆโรงเรียนมีนวัตกรรมเรื่องของภาษา เรื่องวิทยาศาสตร์ เรื่องคณิตศาสตร์ อะไรต่างๆ สิ่งที่เราเริ่มทำได้เลยก็คือ เด็กเรียนอยู่ในโรงเรียน 8 ชั่วโมง อยู่บ้าน 16 ชั่วโมง ถ้าเราแบ่ง 8-8-8 ก็คือ 8 ชั่วโมงอยู่โรงเรียน 8 ชั่วโมงอยู่บ้าน 8 ชั่วโมงนอน และมี 150 วันที่ปิดเทอม ดังนั้นการเรียนรู้ของน้องๆ จริงๆแล้วอยู่ทั้งในโรงเรียนและนอกโรงเรียนการที่เราจะนำนวัตกรรมอะไรเข้ามา อาจมีข้อจำกัดเรื่องหลักสูตรแกนกลาง เรื่องของมาตรฐานการประเมิน แต่ถ้าเราใช้กับช่วงเวลาที่อยู่นอกหลักสูตรอย่างเช่น 8 ชั่วโมงที่เหลือ เราสามารถทำอะไรได้หรือไม่ จึงมีโครงการ Open Education โดยไม่ใช้แค่เวลาปกติแต่รวมวันเสาร์หรือวันอื่นๆ ด้วย จะเห็นว่ามีหลายนวัตกรรมที่เข้ามาร่วมกับกรุงเทพมหานคร ซึ่งสมัครไปประมาณ 65 โรงเรียน โดยมี 4 โรงเรียน ประกอบด้วย 1.โรงเรียนพหลโยธิน (พ่วงเจริญอุปถัมภ์) 2.โรงเรียนวัดพระยาปลา 3.โรงเรียนเสนานิคม 4.โรงเรียนบางแค (เนื่องสังวาลย์อนุสรณ์) ร่วมกับ Globish ที่สนใจเรื่องของการเรียนภาษาอังกฤษผ่านครูต่างชาติที่อยู่ในแพลตฟอร์ม และมีหลักสูตรที่มีการประเมินเทียบกับหลักสูตรสากล ตรงนี้โรงเรียนเห็นประโยชน์ จึงทดลองชั้นเรียนเล็กๆก่อน โรงเรียนละประมาณ 30 คนโดยเริ่มจากเด็กที่สนใจ เมื่อการเรียนสนุก สามารถทำให้เขากล้าพูดกล้าคิดได้Globish ไม่ใช่เป็นแพลตฟอร์มที่เพิ่งเริ่มเป็นแพลตฟอร์มที่เคยได้ยินและติดตามผลงานมานาน เป็นแพลตฟอร์มที่ได้ความยอมรับไม่ใช่แค่ประเทศไทยแต่หลายประเทศก็นำไปใช้ เหมือนที่ท่านผู้ว่าฯ กทม. พูดว่าให้ยืนบนไหล่ยักษ์ คือไม่ต้องคิดอะไรใหม่ เราไปเอาคนเก่งๆ มาแล้วก็มาร่วมกันช่วยเรื่องการศึกษา จริงๆ แล้วทุกโรงเรียนสังกัดกรุงเทพมหานคร เรียนภาษาอังกฤษไม่ต่ำกว่า 3 ถึง 5 ชั่วโมงต่อสัปดาห์อยู่แล้ว เราจะทำอย่างไรให้ 5 ชั่วโมงที่เขามีนั้นดีขึ้น อย่างที่โรงเรียนแห่งนี้เรียน Globish 1 ชั่วโมงทุกสัปดาห์ โรงเรียนอื่นอาจจะไปดูว่าจะขยายผลอย่างไร แต่ว่าแน่นอนข้อจำกัดก็อาจจะมีเรื่องอุปกรณ์ เรื่องไวไฟ อันนี้เป็นหน้าที่ของสำนักการศึกษาซึ่งได้มอบหมายให้พิจารณาว่าสนับสนุนอย่างไรStudents of Phaholyothin Primary School in Bangkok’s Don Muang district practise their English skills in a virtual classroom hosted remotely by a native speaker.
