» 1. After a dozen years as one of Thailand's premier shopping centres, Siam Paragon is celebrating its latest anniversary with their extensive "Siam The Great Celebration" campaign. It's made up of multiple smaller events set to be held until Jan 15 next year. Examples of the events featured include a pop-up installation from Miu Miu fashion brand, an exhibition of French jewellery brand Cartier's special Cartier Red Box and a Harry Potter-themed "Christmas In The Wizarding World" retail experience. There will also be various special promotions and discounts for shoppers throughout the campaign's duration.

» 1. The FCCT invites all to join their latest Documentary Film Night screening, this time featuring 2014 docudrama The Circle. Centred on a famous 1950s gay magazine of the same name, The Circle follows schoolteacher Ernst Ostertag who falls in love with performer Robi Rapp amid a movement recognised as a pioneer of gay emancipation in Europe. Members of the FCCT can attend for free on Monday at 7pm, while non-members can enjoy the screening for 150 baht.

» 1. From today until next Wednesday, head to the Princess Maha Chakri Sirindhorn Centre for the SAC Asean Film Festival. A commemoration of the 50th anniversary of the formation of the Asean community, the festival will feature seven films from seven neighbouring Asean countries of Vietnam, Myanmar, Cambodia, Indonesia, the Philippines, Singapore and Malaysia, as well as seminars and discussions about various topics. » 1. PABLO, the famous Japanese cheese tart brand from Osaka, Japan, recently launched their new PABLO x MAMUANG line of products, a collaboration with the well-known Thai cartoon Mamuang Chan. The featured products in the collection include a mango-purée filled cheese tart (475 baht a piece), the "mini mango" mini tart (95 baht a piece) and a special umbrella designed by the illustrator who created Mamuang Chan. These special products will only be available until Sept 14, and can be found at PABLO branches in CentralPlaza Lardprao and Siam Paragon.

» Touted as an art gallery, theatre, cinema, co-working space, cafe & restaurant, design studio, exotic garden, vintage barber and private museum -- among several other creative things -- ChangChui has become the talk of the town in recent days as much for its artsy, hipsterish concept as its contribution to the massive traffic congestion in the Bang Plad area since its opening last Friday. Over the weekend it attracted thousands of visitors, shoppers, diners and selfie addicts who feasted on ChangChui's industrial chic backdrop. By last Sunday, the space suggested through its Facebook page for visitors to come by taxi, for the convenience of everyone.

» 1. This upcoming Friday will see the release of the Nintendo Switch, the Japanese gaming titan's first console since the under-performing Wii U which was released in 2012. Touted as a hybrid between traditional home consoles and the handhelds Nintendo has long been known for, the Switch will feature a detachable screen that can be carried around for gaming on the go, as well as an HDMI-connected dock that will allow games to be played on a regular TV. The exact prices in Thai baht have yet to be announced, though the console will retail in the US at $300 (approximately 10,000 baht).
