The TT Diaries

Guru, Eric E Surbano, Published on 10/02/2017

» Travelling over 3,000km in a car isn't that impressive. Travelling over 3,000km in an auto rickshaw, however, is something else entirely. This was exactly what the TT Ladies did. The three young women from Thailand — Bom Plengpanich, Aei Jinapuck and Helen Stettler — travelled to India to take part in The Rickshaw Run to raise awareness for domestic abuse in Thailand. The entire journey was filmed by the ladies themselves. The first two episodes are already online, with six more to be released. Guru was able to sit down with one of its members, Thai-Swiss Helen Stettler, to find out more about the experience.

Media's shifting landscape

Life, Kanin Srimaneekulroj, Published on 23/01/2017

After all, with online platforms like Netflix, Iflix, YouTube and even Facebook giving us the ability to access our preferred media content at any place or time of our choosing, many consumers are now given more choices in how they can consume media content than ever before.

Collect/saves the day

Guru, Catherine Faulder, Published on 09/09/2016

» Jay Sriyuksiri leads quite an interesting and full-on life. He's a part-time house DJ that goes by the name Sarayu, holding a residency at Beam and his newly founded night, UNST (UNST UNST); he's been "trying" to produce music for over a year now; he works with his family business like a good boy most of the time and he has also been involved with something a lot more interesting as of late. A project called Collect/Save, something he set up with his friends, aimed at helping Bangkok's local electronic music community become more knowledgeable in what matters to them most — music — through a series of workshops and production master classes led by industry experts and like-minded individuals.
