» The partly cloudy sky gradually turned orange and red after sunset. The twilight colours, which reflected on the Mekong River, provided a great contrast to the dark green mountain ranges in Laos and grass dotted with white flowers on the bank of the river in Thailand's Bueng Kan province.

Located in Muang district in Ratchaburi, the site was once a rock mining area. It has since been turned into a public park, now known as Khao Ngu Stone Park.

» I dipped my hand in a private hot-spring pool in the headquarters of Chae Son National Park in Lampang to test the heat. The temperature was about 40C. It was too hot at first, but for a short while it seemed to be tolerable.
