» Hilton Hua Hin Resort & Spa, which has long been a Hua Hin favourite for three decades, keeps up with the time with a big renovation plan. The spacious lobby is now modern and minimalist, compared to its grand but old-fashioned vibe in the past. The iconic floor-to-ceiling glass windows allow in ample natural light and afford guests a sense of arrival with a view of the swimming pool down to the horizon, befitting a beachfront property. Facilities and accommodations have also been refreshed while the garden and swimming pool area is up next for renovation.

To markets, To (Indie) markets

» You would think Bangkokians have their shopping needs fulfilled to the brim already, given the ever-growing number of malls out there. To the contrary, there are many more special marketplaces that are popping up around the capital to offer different vibes and goodies. This weekend alone there will be two niche markets – Million Bike Market for bicyclists and Pet Design Fair for dog and cat people. We have decided to help you diversify your shopping experience with our pick of indie markets. We can’t be held responsible if you run out of cash before the end of the month, though.

» The 25 candidates for the position of Bangkok governor were announced last week and some placards and posters have already been put up around the city. What we are likely to also see is the extra lengths candidates will go to in order to garner people's attention and support before the election takes place on March 3. But we're talking about more than grilling bananas or driving a bus here. We've done some research on the most attention-grabbing tactics candidates for Bangkok governor have used in the Kingdom (leave it to us Thais to put a light-hearted spin on everything). Not only should the election candidates take note of these tactics but Bangkokians should too since we don't want to elect someone who is no fun, right? Future Bangkok governor and voters, read on!
