Guru, Catherine Faulder, Published on 04/08/2017

» We sat down with Jutatip Maneephan (Beaze Za), the Thai national team's number one female cyclist who has won gold medals at both Asian Games and SEA Games. She will be going to the 29th SEA Games 2017 in Malaysia this month. Athletes are not made in a day and Beaze Za has been competing since her pre-teens. She's also now currently doing military service and working at the Weapon Production and Defence centre. To follow her in her cycling journey to the SEA games, or to learn more about her day-to-day life, do follow her on Facebook (fb.com/Jutatip-Maneephan).

The body is just one part of the equation; to optimise its functioning and capability, experts are now confirming that one must also hone a holistic approach to health that factors in mindfulness and integrative medicine.

Abs, empathy and edge

Guru, Catherine Faulder, Published on 02/12/2016

» One hour with Chakrit Narula, a personal trainer at The Edge Boutique Gym (http://fb.com//theedgeboutiquegym) and you feel like you've done your bit for the year. Despite his military approach to working out, what we like about Chakrit is his ability to relate with us normal humans who don't work out - or plan to - 24/7. We aren't robots and we're very much driven by realness and that "yeah I'll get round to it" mentality. We stumble. We fall. We fail. Chakrit's seen about every colour of the human condition when it comes to physical fitness, and this translates in his ability to motivate us. He wasn't always all abs and bones you know. Here's his story.
